The Comedy Empire (comedy fundraising) was a part-time thing since around 2008, and in 2019 after raising about $250K for the causes we support (that's $250K into our client's pockets), I started preparing to take comedy fundraising nationwide and global and to launch a fully-fledged social enterprise including an affiliate program to help community organisation to raise even more for great causes, however COVID had a different idea and shut us down for 3 years, now we're back and we've got big plans. It's game on!
We're aiming to become the world's largest comedy fundraising company active in 5 countries by mid 2025.
In short, I want to change the world by making people laugh. Comedy Fundraising has proven to be an incredibly powerful way to raise funds for the community so we're 100% all in. Our first milestone is to raise 1 million dollars annually in Australia and New Zealand and while we are preparing to kick off a world tour called the International Comedy Fundraising Festival in 2027. 5 countries, 100 shows and that just to get started.
